Technetium [99mTc] isonitrile glucosamine (99mTc-CNDG7) is a radiopharmaceutical diagnostic imaging agent developed by Beijing Shihong Pharmaceutical. It is designed for use with SPECT/CT imaging to detect regional lymph node metastasis in patients with confirmed or suspected non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The agent consists of a technetium-99m isotope complexed with an isonitrile-functionalized glucosamine moiety. As a radiolabeled glucose analog, it is taken up by metabolically active tumor cells, likely via glucose transporters (GLUT) which are overexpressed in malignant tissues. This allows for the visualization and localization of metastatic lymph nodes, aiding in the staging and surgical planning for NSCLC patients. It is currently being evaluated in Phase II clinical trials in China.
